With a distinguished career spanning more than four decades in the world of banking and finance, Samir Raslan has occupied pivotal roles at esteemed financial institutions around the world.

A journey that has taken Samir around the world and culminated in being named as Vice Chairman of Citi Global Wealth in 2022. Prior to this, he served as the head of Citi Private Bank across the Middle East, Central/Eastern Europe, Africa, Russia, Southeast Asia, and Japan, where he focused on wealth creation, succession planning, and managing offshore assets for high-net-worth clients.

In 2024, Samir joined Whitegate Capital as a member of the Investment Committee. He is also the founder and CEO of Mondrian Associates, a wealth management firm providing comprehensive wealth management services to a global clientele.

Raslan’s extensive experience includes senior roles at Paribas and SAMBA Financial Group in investment banking and wealth management across the Middle East and North Africa. At Citi, it’s Samir’s exceptional record for managing the largest and most complex client relationships to consistently impressive results that has always set him apart. Leading and growing businesses – in the face of strict governance and delicately balanced financial ecosystems – every step along the way.

Outside of his professional commitments, Samir still finds time to remain engaged in various philanthropic endeavours, industry associations, and the arts. His commitment to racial and gender equality underscores his dedication to giving back to the communities he serves.
